How we work

As a full-service packaging agency, we’re a one-stop-shop that offer more than just manufacturing – we offer concept design, structural design, printed prototypes, branding, graphic design, print ready artwork, small to large run production, and fulfilment services.

Unlike many manufacturers, our familiarity and expertise with the design process means we can step in at any stage to help, and no job is too small. Our packaging designers are creatives who can advise on both graphic design and marketing, as well as structural features. We manage small to large sized production runs, from prototypes to global sales, and we can offer optimisation advice as your business grows.

We believe in supporting the local economy, and we like to work closely with all our suppliers many are local to us and all of them are based in the UK. We can offer very competitive rates and excellent lead-times.

What we can manufacture

We produce board and tabletop game packaging using a wide variety of print and manufacturing methods, so we can produce just about any type of packaging with any type of finish. Your overall budget will determine the finishes achievable within your crowdfunding packaging project, and we can consult on which print finishes could work for you best based on variable quantities for improved price breaks.

Although we do not source plastic or resin products (i.e. models, figurines, dice), we can manufacture paper and card products, including custom-cut board games, tokens, pieces, cards, leaflets, booklets.

Sustainability

We care about the environment and our impact on it, as do the majority of our clients and crowdfunding backers. With every project, we discuss sustainability and recyclability options as a matter of course, and we always recommend plastic-free options. We offer a wide range of FSC accredited sustainable materials, and are happy to discuss design interventions and manufacturing options that can keep your packaging as environmentally friendly as possible.

Production Details

Short run manufacturing

Not only can we look after your production for the large run packaging, but because we produce printed prototypes, we also have the capability to look after your short run production too.

Short run manufacturing is ideal for getting your product ready for crowdfunding campaigns and social marketing through influencers.

We also offer a prototyping service for very limited runs which can be used for stretch goals, promotion and play-testing.

Hybrid boardgame boxes

Our hybrid packaging has been developed as an alternative to traditional paper over board rigid boxes. They have the same solid build quality and premium look and feel as rigid boxes, but our hybrids are fully recyclable, vegan, environmentally friendly, much quicker to manufacture, easier to line up design patterns, and have a much lower carbon footprint too. Perfectly suited for influencer boxes, kickstarter stretch goals and crowdfunding rewards.

Rigid boardgame packaging

‘Paper over board’ rigid boxes are what we are used to seeing when it comes to premium luxury board game boxes, and they are still a viable option for many games. However, they are typically produced overseas and shipped fully constructed, which takes a very long time and is quite costly. With many brands looking to keep their carbon footprint minimal and stay vegan (animal glues are used in the paper over board gluing process), our UK manufactured hybrid packaging offers the ideal solution.

Custom corrugate subscription boxes

There's been a huge rise in the use of corrugated card recently, with e-commerce having a huge role to play. We use corrugate wherever we can to replace traditional foam or plastic fitments. Corrugate is strong, rigid, can be laminated with different materials, and can be folded back on itself to form a strong, seamless finish.

Packaging fulfilment

Packing, storage and logistics

In addition to designing, printing, finishing and assembling your packaging, if you don’t have the space or personnel to fulfil your Kickstarter, Gamefound, BackerKit, PledgeManager, or CrowdOx orders, we can organise this for you. This can be especially helpful if your packaging is hand-assembled, as orders can be packed directly after assembly, saving on handling time.
